Q&A
What is Celiac Disease?
From our friends at the Celiac Disease Foundation, Celiac Disease is a serious autoimmune disease that occurs in genetically predisposed
people where the ingestion of gluten leads to damage in the small intestine. It is estimated to affect 1 in 100 people worldwide, but only about 30% are properly diagnosed.
When people with celiac disease eat gluten (a protein found in wheat, rye, and barley), their body mounts an immune response that attacks the small intestine. These attacks lead to damage on the villi, small fingerlike projections that line the small intestine, that promote nutrient absorption. When the villi get damaged, nutrients cannot be absorbed properly into the body.

Is there a cure or treatment for Celiac Disease?
Not at this time... but we are hopeful! The only successful treatment for Celiac Disease is adhering to a strict gluten free diet.
How do I request a "welcome box?"
All the information you need will be on our "Request a Box" page located here. Eligible children/families will need to fill out our google doc form and we will review!
What will my child receive in the "welcome box?"
Soo many goodies! Each box will include 8-10 sample or full-size certified gluten free products, coupons from gluten free companies, a little trinket toy (GF playdoh, kinetic sand, etc) and a letter from our own Celiac Cutie, Norah!
How long will it take to receive a box?
At this time, we are not sending boxes... but soon! We are working hard to partner with brands, obtain grants/donations to make it happen! If you're interested in requesting a box, feel free to fill out the google form on the "Request a Box" page.
What if my child has other allergies other than being gluten free?
We completely understand that many of our Celiac kiddos are dairy free or have other dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, our boxes cannot accommodate other allergies and is focused on gluten free at this time.
